Show Notes

Hi folks. Welcome to “Accessibility Minute”, your weekly look at Assisitive Technology—those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs.

Technology, Engineering, & Design – That’s what the TED in Ted talks refers to.  Started as a one off event in 1984, the TED conference brings together some of the brightest inventors, innovators and thought leaders in the world.  With several events held throughout the world, there are dozens of TED Talks videos that will open your eyes in many ways.  From a woman with an underwater wheelchair to a teenaged boy who created a prosthetic arm for less than $500, several of these TED talks deal with disabilities.  Check our show notes for a link to watch some of these amazing videos.
