Hi folks. Welcome to “Accessibility Minute”, your weekly look at Assisitive Technology—those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs.

Evernote is a very popular computer-based note taking system that is used by the students, professionals, and many others.  It is very useful as an assistive technology as well.  When certain disabilities make it difficult to keep track of information, to do lists, or even reminders, Evernote is a tool that can help.  It can run on your computer, tablet device or smart phone and allows you to keep track of photos of items, audio recordings, web pages, or nearly any kind of document that contains important information.  It’s easy to assign reminders and add check lists to items as well.  Best of all, it’s Free!
