Hey there!  Welcome to Accessibility Minute, your weekly look at Assistive Technology, those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs!
Looking for a fun, helpful app to teach your child phonics, handwriting, and more?  Apps in My Pocket is a UK-based app studio dedicated to developing educational apps for young children.  According to the company’s website, their most popular app, PocketPhonics, has been one of the best-selling phonics and handwriting apps in the UK and USA for the past 5 years!
PocketPhonics teaches children letter sounds, first words, and handwriting.  It is currently being used in hundreds of schools to teach these subjects.  The app is available to try for free on both iPhones and iPads.  To learn more about PocketPhonics, visit AppsInMyPocket.com.
