Hey there! Welcome to Accessibility Minute, your weekly look at Assistive Technology, those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs!

Looking for a fun tool for an individual with learning disabilities? If you frequent our blog, you’ve probably noticed I spend a lot of time researching and writing about a multitude of apps for individuals with special needs. Unfortunately, several of these apps require purchase to download, some costing over $100!

UK-based company FitzRoy offers a fun, educational tool developed specifically for individuals with learning disabilities called Sensory World. The best part? It’s COMPLETELY FREE! It features a virtual house where you can visit different rooms and find multiple activities. To check it out, simply go to SensoryWorld.org.
