Manage time like never before with Resetea

Measuring time can be challenging for many individuals with special needs such as autism, dementia, cognitive disabilities, and more.  Resetea is a device that is the “perfect ally to when it comes to organizing a sequence of tasks or activities” since it shows you how much time is left for each activity.

The device was designed by Andrés Collazos who is a special education teacher.  The website explains how Resetea works:

“Thanks to Resetea you can measure the time of any activity easily and visualize the passage of time. All you need to do is put the related pictograms or pictures symbolizing the task or activity, and let this accessible clock guide you through the passing of time. It tells you when a task is completed and when the next one starts, thanks to its illuminated LED lights, which indicate the stage that we are at in every moment.

Resetea also serves as a clock so you always know what time it is. It can be used for all kinds of activities or tasks that have a beginning and an end (between 1 and 60 minutes).  It’s ideal for use at school, work, home, and more.

Other features of Resetea include:

  • Ideal visual timer for individuals with autism, dementia, and more
  • For many people with autism or other special needs – “time is an abstract concept and can be difficult to assimilate”
  • The device allows you to experience time in a visual and linear way, which makes it “not only more comprehensible but also helps to organize tasks more efficiently”
  • Encourages interaction by actively engaging the users to participate during the passage of time
  • Programmable for 1-12 tasks (1 to 60 minutes)
  • Shows progression of time with colors:
    • Light off = future task
    • White = current task
    • Red = finished task
    • Blue bar = the total time
  • Wall mountable or for use on a table
