Hey there! Welcome to Accessibility Minute, your weekly look at Assistive Technology, those clever tools, and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing, or other special needs!

Are you looking for a fun interactive way to help teach your baby how to sign?  Check out the Baby Sign and Learn App!  “One of the most fundamental human desires is to be understood…”  This app helps your baby learn how to communicate by teaching him/her sign language.

The app features over 300 keywords in American Sign Language (ASL).  Examples of keywords include “again, bad, diaper, drink” and so much more!

The app is free to try out but the full version can be purchased via in-app purchases.

Other features include:

  • App uses colorful flashcards and adorable animations to help teach your baby how to sign
  • In addition to learning keywords in American Sign Language, the app can also teach keywords in:
    • Australian Sign Language
    • British Sign Language
    • Hong Kong Sign Language
    • New Zealand Sign Language
  • Contains age-appropriate content for preschoolers

Check it out on Google Play or the App Store to learn more!
