Hey there! Welcome to Accessibility Minute, your weekly look at Assistive Technology, those clever tools, and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing, or other special needs!

Are you looking for an app to help guide you through different breathing exercises?  Practicing breathing exercises can benefit individuals with stress, insomnia, anxiety, ADHD, pain, and more.  If you’re looking for a resource to help guide you through different breathing exercises, check out Breathwrk!

The Breathwrk app guides users through “powerful” breathing exercises to help them breathe more effectively, strengthen their diaphragm, help them fall asleep, and so much more.

Throughout the Breathwrk app, users will learn and practice various science-backed breathing methods that are accompanied by original music, visuals, and vibrations.  Unlike other mindfulness methods which take a LOT of time and practice, this app is simple to learn and works fast on both the mind and body.

Other features of Breathwrk include:

  • Ability to choose from a vast library of exercises; some examples of available exercises include:
    • Calm
    • Sleep
    • Anxiety Ease
    • Energize
    • Awake
    • Recharge
    • And more!
  • Users can customize their breathing experience with different sounds, vibrations, and visuals
  • They can also track and test progress with built-in tools like the Breath Counter, Breath Hold Timer, and Exhale Timer

Check it out on the App Store to learn more!
