In his appearance on FOX59 Morning News this week, Easterseals Crossroads’ Content Creation Manager Brandon Scott described gamers as a “come-together group that can break down barriers.”
One of the ways Easterseals helps gamers break those barriers is by offering assistive technology, such as adapted controllers.
These controllers include large buttons, switches, joysticks and other alternative inputs that players can position and configure according to their level of ability. For example, Brandon plays with a special access controller that allows him to hit all buttons with his toes.
INDATA is proud to provide these controllers through our Lending Library and in our Adapted Gaming Lab during ES Gaming Indy’s open gaming nights, where you can play alongside Brandon this Wednesday, July 8 from 5-7 p.m. Game nights are free and open to everyone 16 and older on the second Wednesday of each month. (Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.)
