The Indiana State Fair is just around the corner (August 7-23), and there’s a new way for attendees of all ages and abilities to enjoy it accessibly.
Fairgoers can now ride two new trains that offer a breezy, narrated trek across the Fairgrounds. Each train carries roughly 90 passengers and travels along a one-mile loop before returning to a newly built depot where riders board and exit.

For fairgoers with sensory processing needs, the train ride can provide a break and serve as a relaxing alternative to more hands-on ways of experiencing the State Fair. The trains also include ADA-accessible compartments for guests who use wheelchairs or need step-free access.
These new features are part of the Fair’s ongoing mission to enhance the guest experience for Hoosiers and attendees from across the Midwest.
