Go Read is a free, accessible e-book reader for people with print disabilities. Just download, listen and enjoy all the Bookshare books you want!
It works with a variety of Android tablets and phones, so it’s easy to read on-the-go. This app allows you to read with voice-activated navigation and test-to-speech. Users can access and download books directly from Bookshare. However, you must be a Bookshare member to download. Go Read supports both Individual and organizational Bookshare memberships. Users can read books in both, DAISY and EPUB formats.
Bookshare offers accessible books to all U.S. students with qualifying print disabilities. This project is funded by the U.S. Department of Education Office of Special Educations Programs. Bookshare dramatically increases the accessibility of books. People with disabilities deserve the same ease of access to books and periodicals that people without disabilities enjoy. Bookshare uses a searchable online library offering over 143,000 digital books, textbooks, teacher-recommended reading, periodicals and assistive technology tools. Bookshare is for readers of all ages, offers affordable membership, unlimited library privileges and a community of Members, Volunteers, parents, publishers and authors.
