Timocco: Games for Accelerated Development

There are many games available on gaming consoles, computers, and mobile devices to engage children.  While many of these games may teach some developmental skills, several of these aren’t specifically designed for individuals with autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), and more–but Timocco games are!  Timocco is a cutting-edge virtual motion gaming system that motivates children to work on their motor, timocco screencognitive, and communication skills.

Research shows that several children with special needs lack the motivation to undergo therapy.  The creators of Timocco believe they’ve found the solution by engaging children through play.

Dr. Trey Crisco, professor of orthopedics at Brown University, has teamed up with Timocco and stated, “If children are not engaged, timocco childthey’re not going to play, so keeping them engaged is key.”  Dr. Crisco is also the head of a bioengineering laboratory affiliated with the university and Rhode Island Hospital to develop devices that allow children with disabilities to exercise arm and hand muscles while playing with remote-controlled toys.  He continues, “Timocco’s ability to come up with so many different types of games is a real strength to keep the children engaged.”

Timocco offers 50+ games, with a variety of fine-tuning options that isolate and develop specific movements and skills for varying levels of ability.  Through exciting activities like zapping aliens or trying to catch falling fruit, children don’t even notice that they’re working on several development skills.
