A Broadcast Breakthrough: 800 Episodes of Assistive Technology Update

Josh on AT Update

This month, INDATA celebrates a meaningful milestone — 800 episodes of its flagship podcast Assistive Technology Update.

The show started in 2011 as a weekly briefing of AT devices and news, and it morphed into a more in-depth, interview-style program running 30 minutes in length. Episode 800, for example, features a discussion with Joshua Norris, the CEO of Silverts Adaptive Clothing and Footwear. The leader in adaptive dressing solutions since 1930, this company sells clothing geared toward solving common challenges, such as zipper pants with catheter access and adjustable shoes fit for swelling and arthritis.

Even after hundreds of episodes, AT Update host Josh Anderson remains in awe of companies and solutions like these.

“I love learning about this stuff that I don’t always think about as someone without a disability,” Anderson said. “A huge thank you to all of our guests for taking time out of their days and for coming on here and allowing me to really just learn a whole lot more about assistive technology and about these amazing accommodations that are out there for folks.”

AT Update is successfully spreading this information, as the podcast receives upwards of 2,000 downloads a month.

Speaking to listeners, Anderson said: “Hopefully, you’ve learned something over the course of these episodes. Hopefully, you’ve found something that maybe could help you, a friend, a family member, or someone that you work with.”

  1. 800 episodes is a serious milestone for ATUpdate — few shows have documented assistive technology this consistently. Fitting that even video production keeps getting cheaper for small nonprofits: AI video generation API pricing has come within reach, see AI video generation API pricing.

  2. Everyone has a slightly different way of exploring games, so flexibility is something I value in an application. Winbuzz gives users an environment where they can browse different sections according to their own interests rather than following one fixed path. I usually like to check the main categories first, look at the available features, and then decide where to spend more time. Having that freedom makes the experience feel less restrictive and allows different users to approach the app in their own way. winbuzz
