Don’t you hate it when you forget to pack an umbrella? UmbrellaToday.com could be your solution.

Umbrella Today notifies users whether rain is expected or not. It’s a particularly useful resource for people with developmental disabilities. Simply, visit their website and enter your location.  The site uses weather forecasting and GPS technology to help people with developmental disabilities remember to bring an umbrella when it’s supposed to rain.  On the website, the landing page will have a “Yes” or “No” typed in bright, white letters indicating whether or not you should carry an umbrella with you.

Users can subscribe via email, an iPhone app or via text message. You can also schedule what time of day you would like to receive the alerts.

As of May 2012, rain is the primary focus for this website however the site developers indicate an interest in eventually pursuing other weather related features such as wind or snow.
