NEW: CVS Express – Free Curbside Pickup!

Back in December, I wrote a featured article on ClickList, Kroger’s online ordering and curbside pickup service.  It has been noted by many to be a terrifically convenient service, especially for the elderly and those with disabilities.  More recently, CVS has launched its own curbside pickup service, CVS Express.

The service is comparable to a drive-through, as motorists park in a designated CVS Express spot while employees bring the order to their vehicle.  The service is fast and free and is cvs pharmacy appavailable now (at select stores) through the CVS Pharmacy App.  With CVS Express, you’re able to browse through thousands of non-prescription items in the CVS Pharmacy app.  You then have the option to have your order delivered curbside or available to pick up inside the store within about an hour.  (Both in-store pickup and curbside service are FREE!)

How to Use CVS Express:

  1. Simply download and open the CVS Pharmacy app
  2. Select the CVS Express feature
  3. Choose the store nearest you
  4. Now you’re ready to start shopping!
    • NOTE: During your first visit in this feature, you’ll be prompted to create a CVS Express account and to link your ExtraCare card.  Once you create an account, your information will be saved for future use!
  5. Once your order is ready, you’ll receive a text message and an email.

The service accepts both debit and credit cards, and your card will be charged once you pick up the order.  “The charge will be processed by CURBSIDE CVS EXPRSS.  If you cancel your order, please allow up to 10 days for the pending charge to be removed from your card.”  The service will be immediately available at the CVS stores in California, North Carolina, and Georgia.  Most of the retailer’s 7,900 stand-alone U.S. locations will offer this service by the end of the year.
