Hey there! Welcome to Accessibility Minute, your weekly look at Assistive Technology, those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs!

Fun and Function offers several sensory solutions for children of all ages, such as weighted blankets, sensory clothing, sensory putty, and chewies.  One example of a chewy product they offer is their Break-Away Bite Bands.

Break-Away Bite Bands are super absorbent necklaces ideal for children who chew and bite on their clothing or other items.  Unlike plastic or silicone chew necklaces, these terry cloth bands soak up drool, “keeping shirts dry even after extended periods of chewing.”

Other features include:

  • Helps with sensory processing disorder, ADHD, autism, or oral motor needs
  • For moderate chewers
  • Comes with six colorful bite bands
  • For children ages 3 and up!
