I have a client who has autism and would benefit from a Z pod bed per a letter from his physician. He has an IEP at school but physician just gave the letter and not submit to Medicaid to see if they would cover it. They told her to contact DMH. DMH waivers have a wait list plus typically wont cover this kind of bed as it would be considered a rights restriction. What is your requirements to help pay for the Z pod bed for a 5yr old?
