Yesterday I wrote about the QardioArm, which is a wireless blood pressure monitor. Another available option is the iHealth Ease Wireless Monitor.
The iHealth Ease is around half the price of other monitors, as it relies on your phone to do most of the heavy lifting. The device is composed of a cuff that fits around your arm, a connecting air tube, and the base station. The base unit communicates with your Apple or Android device over Bluetooth with the iHealth MyVitals app. Your phone sits on top of the base unit when you are taking a measurement. In order for the base unit to work, it has to be separately charged with the included USB cable.
The device is quite easy to use: the app will take you through the steps to put on the cuff and take the measurement in a simple way.
The iHealth MyVitals app allows users to easily manage and view their health data. By creating an iHealth account and connecting our devices, you’ll be able to store data securely in the cloud.
According to the App Store:
“Using easy-to-read graphs and charts, you’ll be able to view changes and trends over time. You can view all types of graphic trends on the same screen and use the share function to keep your care team up to date with your condition status.”
