We’re thrilled and honored to be featured in the July issue of Uniquely You! — a monthly magazine written by families, caregivers and individuals with disabilities. In addition to Indianapolis, the magazine runs city-specific publications in Florida, Georgia, Michigan and Ohio.
In this local spotlight article, author Lindsey Watson uses her personal experience as a springboard to explore Easterseals Crossroads’ wide range of services. “Easterseals offers far more than I could have imagined,” she writes.
Watson’s daughter has limited hand control due to Rett Syndrome, and while looking for an assistive technology tool to help her with school, Watson found the Guided Hands device through INDATA’s Device Loan Library.
Watson goes on to provide comprehensive coverage of Easterseals Crossroads, the INDATA Project and the positive impact we strive to make on Hoosiers with disabilities. Thank you to her and Uniquely You! for their generosity in spreading the word about our mission and helping us reach more people in need of assistive technology and disability services.
In addition to shedding light on local organizations in print and online, representatives of the publication often host community events for people with disabilities and their families, such as this week’s ice cream social at Greenwood’s Independence Park — Indiana’s first all-accessible playground.
