Amigo is a fitting name for Enhanced Vision’s new video magnifier, as it’s an easily reliable companion for reading everything from restaurant menus to street signs.
This compact, portable device is a simple solution for people with low vision. It consists of an 8-inch LCD display and four tactile, easy-to-use buttons. The plus and minus buttons on the right are for zooming in and out. The top button on the left basically takes a screenshot of whatever the user is reading or trying to see. The bottom button is the feature that makes the Amigo stand out.
Enhanced Vision’s proprietary feature, Dynamic Contrast, makes text with insufficient color contrast appear crisp and defined. This is especially helpful when certain text and background color combinations are too similar in color — to the point that they cannot be detected by other video magnifiers.
