Tablet computers and apps for the holidays!

In part two of our recent, 4th annual assistive technology holiday shopping show, our friends at Bridging Apps listed their top suggestions for anyone considering a tablet computer for someone as a holiday gift. Here is what they suggested.

Top tablet recommendations :

Google Nexus 7: Also lightweight and a convenient size, the Nexus 7 uses the Android operating system. Options for apps and accessibility are limited, but they are steadily increasing. Prices start at $229.

Kindle Fire HDX: A handy device that encourages purchasing items from Amazon, is an excellent e-reader and has some very good accessibility options. App selection is limited but growing. Prices start at $179.
